Paper company selects van Spall for effluent cooling project

St Regis Paper Company Ltd needed to cool their waste water to meet discharge consents at their recyled paper mill in Kent.

Four vanSpall dry air coolers were installed in parallel to cool the effluent prior to entering the activated sludge lagoon in times high ambient or high effluent remperatures.

Due to the potential of suspended solids in the effluent resulting fouling of the tubes, the coolers were specified with removeable headers to facillitate cleaning
